SR2Food Release 2010.001 Delivered to Customers

Below you find a complete overview of all the enhancements we have made to the software over the last several months and last several releases.

The biggest enhancement has been the implementation of our security subsystem. You will now be able to control the areas of our software that your users can access.

We hope you enjoy the new features and that they prove useful to your organization.

New Subsystems
• Full User based security both at the menu and the program levels.

Enhancements
• Lot Costing Report to show profitability on a per lot basis.
• SR2Food now allows you to link special pricing between different customers using the Special Price Customer field on the Customer Maintenance credit tab.
• Purchase Receipt Report/Worksheet so your receiver on your dock can accurately record incoming product.
• We added the ability to get an Inventory Reorder Report by adding an option to the Inventory Stock Status report. Used in conjunction with the re-order point field on the Item Maintenance general tab you can now be notified when inventory has been depleted below your re-order thresholds.
• Customer Price Report with options to show pricing of items yours customers most often buy from you.
• SU Quantity Count on Purchase Orders
• Total Quantity Count on Buy Sheet
• New Invoice logo option of “BIG”. Now you can use the entire area of the top of an invoice for your logo and company name in one big logo file. Note: Must set company name parameter to “NO”
• Added Vendor Contact Name and Phone to database and refresh from QuickBooks.
• Show Vendor contact name and phone on purchase order header
• Pick tickets now print in reverse stop sequence
• Inventory transaction report showing all sales, purchases and inventory transactions
• One word filter capability in inventory lot selector and inquiry screens
• One word filter capability in sales order on the order guides tab
• Notes printing on purchase order now
• Update items & customers to QuickBooks before any other transactions are processed through our QB Server
• Option to show broken prices on customer price list print
• Expanded font size on price list for customer and individual price list
• Added option to the invoice register to print a short ship report at the end of the invoice register process. Short ship report shows all items that had a different ship quantity from the order quantity
• Add Category range on customer price lists. You can now print a price list of just one category or a range of categories. Useful to create “specials” price lists.
• New parameter on the company setup to control default sales order quantity that appears when you are entering item lines in sales orders.
• New option to “Receive in Full” all non-lot, non-catch weight items in purchase order receipt process. You no longer have to step through each item receipt if you don’t want to.
• New parameter on the company setup to control lot selector/inquiry refresh time in minutes

SR2Food Release 2009.015 delivered to customers

SR2Software technical personnel begain uploading and installing the new release last week. During the upgrade technicians activated some new features to help eliminate issues with information flowing to and from QuickBooks.

SR2Software will begin BETA testing of Lot Control in September

This new module which will be incorporated with release 13 of the base SR2Food software has many new features integrated into it. Some of those new features are Lot selection at Order Entry time or during the Pick process, multiple warehouses with the ability to have multiple lots, lot transfer capabilities, lot inquiry, inventory valuation by warehouses, lot control in Purchasing, and many new inquiry features for lot tracking.

SR2Software Announces Release Version 2009.011

Wed, 29 Apr 2009 14:31:00 +0000 - SR2Software recently released a new version to their popular QuickBooks Compatible SR2Food distribution software for the Food Distribution Industry. This release contains some exciting new features in both Sales Orders and Truck Routing. In the Sales Order program you now have the ability to create negitive invoices for customer credits and we now create a credit memo on the QuickBooks side. Even bigger than credit memos is our new ability to have a second alternate unit of measure. If you have a product that you sell by more than one extra unit of measure we can handle it. For example: I have a product that I sell by the Case, Each and also by the Pound, we now allow you to enter any of those in Sales Orders. This feature will be very popular with Fruit & Produce Distributors.

SR2Food Truck Routing just got an important new feature. We now give you the ability to order your stops automatically using Microsoft's MapPoint product. With our new interface to MapPoint the end user will have the ability to map out the best route simply by clicking a button. Our Truck Routing and MapPoint do the rest. We even accomodate the ability to specify stops that need to be made first or last. MapPoint will automatically work a new route based on your criteria.

Some other features added are the new Bill of Lading, for Invoices with no pricing, designed for those orders that are drop shipments. New formatting of the item number on the QuickBooks side to make summary reports more user friendly. Font sizes on Order notes, for "when you have to get your message to the customer in clear terms".

By far this is one of the best releases we have put out so far. Our next release is going to be even more aggressive and may take a little longer. Keep looking for continued updates and bug fixes over the next few months.

SR2Software Announces Release Version 2009.010

This release contains some important changes to the Invoices in SR2Food. We added order notes to the top of the invoice and moved the message lines to the bottom of the body of the invoice. Now we have small print text that can be added in two sections where the message lines used to be. Giving the end user greater flexibility to customize their laser based invoices. We also added some additional reports for the Purchase Order part of the software.

This release contains some important modifications to the inventory stock status report and the catch weight entry screen. Added to the stock status report is on-hand, committed and available quantities. This will allow the user to get a better picture of their actual inventory. SR2Food now supports up to 180 catch weights per line item on any order. The user is given the option to specify how many catch weights per line they want and how many will display per line on the pick ticket and invoice.
